About the event

Tickets for this recital are completely FREE and all guests will receive a complimentary glass of bubbly. Tickets are limited, so if you would like to attend please call us on 0161 527 7677 or email info@bechstein.co.uk to secure your seat.

Likewise, if you are unable to make the event after booking, please call or email to let us know so we can offer your seat to another guest. For those who cannot attend in person we will also live stream the event via our YouTube channel and Facebook page, a link will be provided nearer the time.

J.S.Bach: Prelude and Fugue, No. 19 in A major Book 2, BWV 888

L.V.Beethoven: Sonata in C minor Op.10 no.1 

F. Chopin: Nocturne in D flat major Op.27 no.2

K. Leighton: Five Piano Studies, Op.22 no.3

F. Chopin: Étude in E major, Op.10 no.3

About the pianist: 

Chiara Lordi is twenty years old and originally from Italy but has lived in Scotland her  whole life. She started playing the piano at the age of 6 and was a student at the City of  Edinburgh Music School.  

A first prize winner of the James Waterhouse Piano Competition, Chiara had the  opportunity to play at Steinway Hall in London. She also received First Prize in various  competitions at the Edinburgh International Festival and has performed at the Edinburgh  Fringe Festival numerous times. In 2015, she performed as a soloist in the Usher Hall in  Edinburgh, as part of the annual Christmas Concert. She also had the opportunity to  perform multiple times as a soloist in the Queens Hall in Edinburgh.  

Chiara joined the RNCM last year as a first year undergraduate student in Manchester and is  studying with Helen Krizos. She is looking forward to enjoying all the many performing  and learning experiences she will receive during her studies.
