C. Bechstein Recital Series with Cristo Harijan

We are pleased to announce that we will be joined by pianist Cristo Harijan in our first performance in the C. Bechstein Centre Manchester recital series for 2023!

Please note, we now charge a small fee for recital tickets, priced at £7 each or £5 for students (proof of ID required). To support and show thanks for their time and expertise, the majority of the ticket fee will be paid to the performer(s). All guests will receive a complimentary glass of prosecco/non-alcoholic alternative on arrival.

Tickets are limited, so if you would like to attend please call us  on 0161 527 7677 and have a debit/credit card to hand. Alternatively, you can book online via Eventbrite, however, please note a booking fee is payable. Please allow at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel your tickets. As a matter of policy, we cannot issue a refund after this time. If you need to cancel, please call and speak to a member of staff. 

Doors are at 6:15pm with the recital to begin at 6:30pm and end at 7:30pm. 

The programme includes:

- Bach - Busoni: Chaconne from Partita 2

- Medtner - N: 2 Fairy tales

- Liszt - F: Sonata in B minor S.178

About Cristo

Cristo Harijan is a 22 year old pianist currently studying under Murray Mclachlan at the Royal Northern College of Music. Cristo was born in upstate New York, and first started learning piano at the age of 9. After moving to the UK in 2012 he was self taught until 2014 when he began studying at The Sage Gateshead in the young musicians programme with Nick Butters. From there he went to Chetham's school of music for 4 years, where he began studying with Murray.

Cristo has extensive experience performing at venues in and around Manchester, as well as playing in internal and external competitions. Most recently Cristo passed through to the final round of the Krogulski international piano competition in Tarnów, Poland.
