Pianoforte Tuners’ Association Training Day

Come and spend the day in the expert hands of Bechstein’s top concert technician Torben Garlin, Concert & Institutional Service Director, who will demonstrate and guide us through the following topics:

~ The servicing of Bechstein instruments in showrooms, private homes and concert halls.

~ Technical work in relation to a pianist’s individual requirements and general sound optimisation. The objective here is to give the class a greater understanding of the sound and touch of Bechstein instruments and to obtain knowledge about the processes of individual tuning, toning and regulation in order to achieve the desired result.

~ In general the optimal piano sound quality is considered and the range of preparation possibilities will be explored.
